The World Resources Institute (WRI) 2024 Land Accelerator Program for Young African Entrepreneurs

Call for Applications: The World Resources Institute (WRI) 2024 Land Accelerator Program for Young African Entrepreneurs.

WRI extends an invitation to all restoration businesses across the 34 member countries of AFR100 to participate in their programs, including those that may not traditionally identify as restoration enterprises.

This year, the Land Accelerator in Africa will introduce two concurrent programs: the Continental Land Accelerator Africa and the Land Accelerator Landscapes. In alignment with the Restore Local project, the latter will concentrate on three crucial landscapes: Kenya’s Greater Rift Valley; the Lake Kivu & Rusizi River Basin spanning Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Rwanda; and the Ghana Cocoa Belt.

Program Benefits:

  • The Land Accelerator team will handpick 100 companies for participation in the Land Accelerator Africa, along with an additional 260 businesses for the Landscapes program.
  • All selected companies will commence with a 12-week virtual training program, supplemented by opportunities for in-person training for certain cohort members.

Application Deadline: March 15, 2024
