Siemens Stiftung, in collaboration with Capital Solutions Limited, is set to launch the ‘Women Income Generation Opportunities Initiative (WIGOI),’ a transformative project aimed at empowering young women (18-30 years) in semi-urban and rural areas. This initiative provides comprehensive 360° educational solutions tailored to enhance career opportunities and income growth for participants.

- Capacity Building:
- Highly participatory program.
- Offers personalized training and coaching.
- Mentorship provided through site visits.
- Social Media Profiling:
- Personal and business profiling across all social media platforms.
- Networking Opportunities:
- Access to the Social Entrepreneurship Forum for networking.
- Access to Capital:
- Opportunities to secure small debt capital through the Social Investment Fund.
Application Process: The call for applications is open to 100 young women from semi-urban and rural areas, with a focus on marginalized groups such as Refugees and PWDs. The program encompasses a rigorous engagement process:
- Personal Needs Assessment
- Capacity Building
- Career Guidance/Mentorship
- Mid-Evaluation
- Graduation/Post-Training Coaching
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to young women aged 18-30 in Uganda.
- Special consideration is given to those focused on climate change, renewable energy, health, education, and agriculture.
- Criteria for entry include proficiency in digital tools, verbal and written English, regular internet access, and attendance at planned in-person sessions.
