The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Levant regional young talents program aims to support and recognize young women researchers in the fields of Life Sciences and Physical Sciences from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and the Syrian Arab Republic.
Benefits:
- Three endowments of €10,000 each for postdoctoral researchers.
- Three endowments of €6,000 each for Ph.D. students, to cover expenses related to scientific missions, training, conferences, and more.
Eligibility:
Postdoctoral Researchers:
- Must hold a PhD in one of the specified science fields.
- Nationality of Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, or Syrian.
- Age limit: not older than 45 years.
Ph.D. Students:
- Must hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in relevant fields.
- Should be enrolled full-time in a Ph.D. program during 2023-2024.
- Nationality of Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, or Syrian.
- Age limit: not older than 35 years.
Selection Criteria:
- Academic record, including publications, presentations, and patents.
- Quality and usefulness of the research project.
- Adherence to ethical regulations.
- Innovation and expected outcomes.
- Ability to communicate and promote sciences.
- Career path.
