The DCU Business School in Ireland is offering John Thompson Scholarship to international students willing to study in Europe.
The 2024 John Thompson Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity that covers the full fees of any successful applicant to study a Masters’s degree at DCU.
Dublin City University’s Business School, alongside the family and friends of the late John Thompson, is proud to announce the opening of applications for the John Thompson Scholarship.
This prestigious award covers the full tuition fees for one student enrolled in the MSc in Digital Marketing program.
The John Thompson Scholarship was established in 2008 to commemorate John Thompson, a towering figure in Irish media with nearly three decades of influence.
As a key executive, John contributed to the launch and success of major publications such as U Magazine, The Sunday World, and The Irish Farmers Journal. His leadership roles included serving as the Chief Executive of Associated Newspapers Ireland and Managing Director at Independent Star Limited.
Eligibility Requirements for John Thompson DCU Business School Scholarship
To be considered for the John Thompson Scholarship 2024, you must:
- Be a home or foreign student
- Be applying to study at the DCU Business School
- Have applied to the MSc Digital Marketing programme here in DCU Business School.

- The Scholarship will cover the full fees of a selected applicant for the DCU Business School.

- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Provide a detailed CV outlining your educational and professional background.
- Statement of Motivation (250 words max): A brief essay explaining your interest in the scholarship, your career goals, and why you are a suitable candidate.
- Academic Transcript/Proof of Final Degree Award: Documentation proving your academic achievements.
