The Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) is a leading and reputable non-governmental organization addressing infectious and non-infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and cancer through the provision of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, capacity building, research, and care and support services.
We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Strategic Information Coordinator, Public-Private Mix (SI Coordinator, PPM), TB-LON 3 Project

Overview
- The TB-LON 3 Project is a USAID-funded Award that is a revolutionary program working with communities, facilities and relevant State and National structures to improve access to TB case finding, diagnosis, treatment and notification in Lagos, Ogun, Osun and Oyo States; as well as increase domestic financing for TB and strengthen surveillance and integrated reporting across four result areas:
- Improved access to high-quality, person-centred TB treatment, DR-TB, and TB/HIV services for a cumulative number of at least 106,576 persons for the life of the activity
- Strengthened systems and structures for TB detection, treatment and notification with TB service delivery platforms strengthened
- TB disease transmission and progression reduced
- TB research and innovations accelerated with improved impact on program implementation.
- The TB-LON 3 Project is implemented by a consortium with Institute of Human Virology Nigeria as the Prime Recipient, Society for Family Health as the Sub-Recipient and other Implementing Entities.
Job Summary
- The SI Coordinator, PPM will provide technical support and oversight for the implementation of TB PPM Strategic Information activities on the TB-LON 3 Project.
- S/he will implement and ensure data quality and best practices in data management processes from data collection, collation, reporting and use at different levels across the TB-LON 3 supported States.
- S/he will ensure the use of standard tools, electronic medical records and data management systems to track indicators required in the program, while supporting data-driven target setting and decision making.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating the TB public-private mix strategic information activities across all supported States
- Providing technical leadership to the State teams on weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of indicators at LGA, State, National, USAID and all TB-LON3 reporting platforms
- Performing programmatic review and insight on weekly, quarterly, and annual achievements
- Providing guidance to State and facility staff on indicators, reporting and data quality issues
- Ensuring completeness, correctness and consistency of all program reports
- Ensuring compliance of facilities, LGAs and States to reporting timelines
- Supporting the development of performance indicators, performance monitoring plans and targets setting as related to the public-private mix intervention;
- Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly interactive programmatic review charts for presentation to USAID and other stakeholders when necessary
- Generating regular gap analysis to show program/ state progress towards achieving set targets in the private sector
- Supporting monthly supportive supervisory visits to TB-LON 3 supported States
- Coordinating quarterly data quality assessment at National, State, LGA and facility levels
- Participating in development of SOPs for Program Monitoring and Reporting
- Ensuring all electronic data collection and reporting platforms used in TB-LON 3 are functional at all levels
- Supporting health system strengthening activities for Government at all levels
- Supporting the private sector team in all program activities
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Information, TB-LON 3 and the Chief of Party
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Monitoring & Evaluation, Demography, Biostatistics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field, experience in data collection, processing and use
- Experience with Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS programs or related health service programs
- Experience in the monitoring and evaluation of tuberculosis public –private mix activities
- Experience with the USAID and Global Funds Strategic Information system highly desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation practices, methods, tools and guidelines.
- Knowledge of USAID-funded strategic information system.
- Knowledge of the reporting framework for tuberculosis including indicator definitions
- Knowledge of the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme Recording and Reporting tools
- Good understanding of the National Electronic Tuberculosis Information Management System (NETIMS).
- Understanding of the public-private mix model in tuberculosis management
- Ability to perform complex data analytics utilizing Microsoft Excel, STATA, and/or Business Intelligence tools, making recommendations based on findings
- Proficiency in the use of Tableau, Power BI, and Think-Cell
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, verbal skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Must have the ability to obtain, analyze, organize and interpret data and present findings in both oral and written form
- Report writing and presentation skills
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package applications especially Excel and Access
- Team player with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Have a clear understanding of the health system structure and the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme(NTBLCP)
- Have a supportive attitude towards processes of strengthening local partners and building local capacities for self-management
- Be willing to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders, especially primary stakeholders
- Flexibility, willing to travel and work during weekends.
