Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Obanikoro, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
The QA is responsible for:
- Collaborating with Software Development team to develop comprehensive, well structured, effective test plans, test cases, and strategies;
- Designing test cases, reporting all bugs encountered in the bug tracker software, and determining readiness criteria;
- Executing all levels of testing (System, Integration, Functional, Stress and Regression);
- Working with Cross-Functional Teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle;
- Reporting bugs and errors to the development team;
- Testing of third-party applications acquired by the organization;
- Ensuring software tested meets and exceeds the users’ requirements;
- Verifying all developed applications before release;
- Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability;
- Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
- Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems;
- Develop a wide range of SQL queries on relational database systems such as SQL Server
- Preparing periodic reports on test status and feedbacks for strategic decision-making;
- Production of Manuals (Users’, Technical, Errors & Solution reference) and liaise with Programmers and Product Owners to produce all three manuals i.e. Reference Manual, Quick User Manual, and Technical Manual;
- Designing and developing automation test scripts when needed;
- Detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies;
- Reviewing corrections made to specifications;
- Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios;
- Other assigned duties for the stability of IBS suites and the company’s growth.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Minimum of First Degree + Industry-related experience;
- Minimum of 3 years proven work experience in software development;
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with API testing tools
- Experience with CI/CD tools is a plus
- In-depth understanding of at least one programming language (e.g Java, Javascripts, C#, Python)
- Passion for quality, detail-oriented, and know-how to break the software by finding bugs
- Develop a wide range of SQL queries on relational database systems such as SQL Server
- Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools e.g. Selenium, Appium, Cypress
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Salary
N150,000 to N250,000 monthly.
