We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Reports to: Head of Administration
Grade: Middle level
Job Expectation Summary
- The procurement officer will ensure procurements are conducted in a consistent, transparent and cost-effective manner to avoid fruitless and wasteful expenditures.
- This office holder shall negotiate with contractors before arriving at a satisfactory amount that saves cost without compromising quality.
- The procurement officer manages all purchases for the branch, always negotiates with vendors for the best and most favorable rates for the company. The office holder is expected to be honest in all dealings and frugal in transactions on behalf of the company.
Essential Responsibilities
Candidate will be expected to:
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office suite
- Be resilient and have vociferous negotiation skills
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong critical thinking and numerate skills
- Be organized and have accurate recordkeeping skills
- Be proficiency in the use of computers
- Be in charge of the purchase of equipment for the organization, contact suppliers and research offers and quotations.
- Render assistance for jobs involving servicing, works/ repairs and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Academic Requirements
- B.Sc Holder in any of the numerate disciplines
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Procurement.
