This is to inform students that UBA Foundation National Essay competition 2024 is ongoing. Applicants are expected to read through the competition requirement before hitting the sending their application.

The National Essay Competition, targeted at senior secondary students in Nigeria, is organized annually, as part of UBA Foundation’s education initiative which aims to promote the reading culture and encourage healthy and intellectual competition amongst secondary school students in Nigeria and across Africa.

Application Requirements:

  • Must be a Nigerian Senior Secondary School Student
  • Complete contact information
  • Upload a handwritten essay of 750 words max (not typed)
  • Upload a recent passport photograph
  • Upload a scanned copy of Birth Certificate, National ID, or International Passport

Benefits

The prize for the UBA National Essay Competition is an educational grant to any African University of choice, for:

  • Winner: ₦7.5million
  • First runner-up: ₦5million
  • Second runner-up: ₦3.5million
