Job Title: Assistant Health & Safety Supervisor

Job Summary
- Assistant Health & Safety Supervisor helps the implementation of HSE management programs, systems, and processes; provides the technical oversight of the environment, safety and health activities; and provides the overall support for the creation of behavioural change strategies that will ensure a safe environment for all Employees and Contractors.
Responsibilities
- Review and implement QHSE initiatives, plans and schedules.
- Supporting Management and Supervision in improving Health, Safety and Environmental performance & engagement.
- Participate in Risk Assessments, Incident Investigations, Inspections and Audits as required.
- Present and /or facilitate HSE trainings as required.
- Ensure submission of daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
- Provide necessary data required to be entered into Safety database (near misses/incident types) in the system.
- Monitoring the DG containers stacked as per planned.
- Coordinate hazard identification process as needed.
- Organize and conduct ER drills in accordance with the requirements of the ER SOP.
- Supervise and monitor day to day safety, health, and environmental activities in all operations.
- Monitor collection and reporting of environmental data.
- Undertake and /or assist with terminal HSE inspections.
- Increase and maintain employee and contractor awareness of HSE issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc./ HND in Engineering, Sciences, or related field
- 2 – 5 years minimum experience in a HSE role.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft packages.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Valid driver’s license.
- You must hold a NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Experience gathering, analysing, and reporting on key H&S data/statistics.
- Professional approach coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
