We produce ferrous & non-ferrous castings, test/counter weights, a variety of fabrications and components made by additive manufacturing (3D Printing). In addition, we have heat treatment, pattern making and machining facilities.

Job Title: Health Safety Environment Supervisor

Job Summary
- The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant working environment within Nigerian Foundries Limited.
- This position plays a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety and environmental audits and inspections.
Incident Prevention and Response:
- Proactively identify and address potential safety and environmental hazards.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent their recurrence.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
Training and Education:
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Promote awareness of safe work practices and environmental stewardship.
- Maintain records of training and compliance activities.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential workplace hazards.
- Collaborate with department heads to implement measures for risk reduction.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.
Waste Management and Environmental Impact:
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Monitor and reduce the environmental impact of operations.
- Implement strategies to minimize waste and promote recycling.
Safety Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Prepare and submit safety and environmental reports to regulatory agencies as required.
HSE Committee Participation:
- Collaborate with the HSE committee to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
- Engage with employees and management to gather input on HSE issues and initiatives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant certifications in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001).
- Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with risk assessment and management tools.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
