Recently there’s been a rise in interest for people wanting to move to Texas for work purposes in the past few years.
Just recently, there was a report from a commercial real estate firm called CBRE Group, with their headquartered in Texas, they found out that the number of people who moved from San Francisco to Texas increased by 32.1% in 2020 from 2019, although most people who moved from San Francisco stayed within California.
A senior economist at Zillow named Jeff Tucker told Insider’s Natasha Solo-Lyons that places like Austin are attractive because people view the city as being “a burgeoning tech hub paying high wages, while still remaining much more affordable than coastal markets like San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle.”
